The Dr. Christmas Cure Creates Holiday Magic in Your Home; Here's How He Does It

People always ask ,”How did you get started being Dr Christmas?” I always have two answers. The first is “Well I couldn’t sing” and the second actually comes from Film legend Lana Turner.

She told me“ You're going to make it in this town kid ,you want to know why ? I remember looking at her in that moment, sitting there so tiny, all in white looking very much the MGM star. I was speechless. Truth be told I was intimidated by her so I did not say anything I just shook my head No. She stood up and pointed at me with those beautiful fingernails and said..“ It’s because you know how to keep your mouth shut kid!” “That goes a long way in Hollywood remember that!”

I remember thinking wouldn’t my school teachers have laughed at that remark ,considering that most of my school records state otherwise . But in all honesty it was a very surreal moment , I mean how did a boy from a tiny Midwest town, end up in the apartment of a Movie Star decorating her Christmas tree? At the time I really didn't give it much thought, I didn't think that anything I was doing was very special. I was just trying to survive and pursue my acting career.

Everyone today seems to think that I just woke up one morning and decided “Hey I want to be a Christmas decorator to the rich and famous ,well that was so far from the truth. The fact is.. it was all an accident. None of this was planned.

My story is a crazy combination of simple beginnings, ambitious dreams, and a made up career full of ups and downs, darkness and light and more sparkle and glitter than you could ever imagine. The journey to becoming Dr Christmas began in a back yard swimming pool with a very wise friend and five simple words.. Make it all a game!

My goal with Christmas decor is to not only entertain and create a warm and beautiful setting but also to inspire the next small town kid who talked too much in class , didn’t quite fit in, but in private daydreams was reaching for the stars.
