Tracy Austin Doubles Tennis Tournament Returns for its 42nd Year

Rolling Hills Estates, CA - The City of Rolling Hills Estates is excited to host the 42nd Annual Tracy Austin Doubles Tennis Tournament! In partnership with tennis prodigy Tracy Austin, this long-running event brings together tennis players of all ages and skill levels in a friendly competition at local tennis clubs in and around the City. The tradition continues as the City’s oldest sporting event after an off year in 2020 due to the pandemic.

The competition will be held on November 12, 13, and 14, 2021. The event draws tennis enthusiasts from the Palos Verdes Peninsula and the greater South Bay area. All are encouraged to join! This is one of the few tennis tournaments that welcome junior players in all categories.

Players will have a chance to compete for $2,000 in Open Division prizes, receive tournament souvenirs and autographs, and have an opportunity to participate in a free clinic provided by Tracy Austin.

The namesake of the tournament, Tracy Austin, stormed into women’s tennis in 1977 and set several amazing records as the youngest player in the sport. She maintains a host of other accolades in the sport, including two U.S. Open titles and claim to the only ever brother/sister mixed doubles win in history at Wimbledon.

Off the court, Tracy is dedicated to many charitable organizations, including her own Pro- Celebrity Tournament to benefit the South Bay Children’s Health-Center and the City’s Pepper Tree Foundation, a beneficiary of this long-running doubles tennis tournament. Tournament proceeds are key in supporting the enhancement and development of the City’s parks, trails, and open space.

The tournament is also possible due to the generous sponsorship from California Water Service, Western Pacific Cancer Care, Waste Management, and Medawar Fine Jewelers.

Registration closes on November 6, 2021. Registration link available at www.TracyAustinTennisTournament.com. Fees: $30.50.
