A Poem Welcoming Spring 2023

Photography credit: Simie Seaman

As winter's grip begins to fade

And snow and ice begin to melt,

The world awakens, unafraid,

As spring's arrival is felt.

The equinox has come at last,

When day and night are of equal length,

A time for balance, not too fast,

A time to cherish every breath.

The trees begin to bud anew,

The flowers burst forth with color bright,

The birds return, their songs so true,

And everything is bathed in light.

The air is filled with sweet perfume,

As nature's palette is unfurled,

The world is born anew in bloom,

And every heart begins to twirl.

So let us welcome spring with cheer,

As we embrace this time of change,

And celebrate this time of year,

With love and hope, as we arrange.
