Curious? By International Hypnosis Federation President, Author, Artist and More Shelley Stockwell-Nicholas, PhD

“Curiouser and curiouser!” cried Alice in Wonderland “…I’m opening out like the largest telescope that ever was! Good-bye, feet!” (…her feet seemed almost out of sight…).” As you ripen and mature your childhood seems farther and farther away. You no longer toddle on baby feet you walk or skip or jump or stroll. The grown-up version of YOU imagines in the here and NOW the consequences of a decision made NOW and does not default to a decision made by the three-year-old you!?

Curiosity is having fun at your own expanse.

Openness to possibilities makes life juicy because, it broadens your horizons. Success, self-esteem and love await. It’s that mysterious itch just waiting to be scratched. Curiosity killed the cat… Satisfaction brought him back. Curiosity rewards your biology with happy hormones like dopamine that tickle your fancy and influences what you do next.

What sparks YOUR curiosity?

Is it something about YOU love to do?

Is it something you want to do?

INTENTION CREATES YOUR OUTCOME

“How do you get down from an elephant?”

“You don’t: you get down from a goose.”

Without intention, you wander aimlessly and that’s okay… unless, of course…you want to stay on course. Many clients come to see me to overcome a serious ailment I call “IDD” or “I.ntention D.eficit D.isorder.” When I say; “Tell what you want, what you really, really want…” some folks look at me like I’m speaking Swahili.

So, “What do YOU want?” Your answer underscores \ heartfelt desire and that intention drives you forward.

NAME IT AND CLAIM IT

To get where you want to go, proclaim it! Then plot your course with a clear step-by-step agenda… and here is the corker… don’t be attached to the outcome because the results will be even better than you imagine!

TO HAVE WHAT YOU WANT!

ONE: Think about what you want; what you really, really want. Got it? Good

TWO: Think of three things you will do now (or in the next 24 hours) to get what you want and commit to doing them.

THREE: Just do them and don’t be attached to the outcome. Because the outcome will be better than you could possibly imagine.

 CURIOSITY IN SPACE

November 2011 NASA launched “Curiosity” to explore the Gale Crater on Mars. A jetpack lowered this SUV-sized Rover which has since traveled untold miles and sent back images.
