MLK Jr. Day of Service by the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Monday, January 19th, 9am – 12pm. Join us for Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service at the White Point Nature Preserve! You will help care for the Native Plant Demonstration Garden by planting native shrubs, removing invasive weeds, watering native plants, grooming trails and more! George F Canyon Discovery Walk with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Saturday, January 3rd, 10:30am. Naturalists will guide you along a trail through the preserve to discover a unique variety of wildlife in their canyon habitat with amazing views of the LA Basin. Join us at White Point Nature Education Center for fun stories about the cool critters that live on the nature preserve with crafts and hands-on activities. Recommended for kids ages 3-6 and their caregivers.

Bring Nature Home: Native Plant Sales by the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy – Saturday, January 10th at George F Canyon 10:30am – 12pm, located at 27305 Palos Verdes Dr E, Rolling Hills Estates, CA 90274. Create your own butterfly garden with a beautiful native plant from the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Our native plant expert will give you professional tips on creating a garden waystation and home for local species! Join us Saturday, January 24th at White Point Nature Education Center located at 1600 W. Paseo del Mar, San Pedro 10:30am – 12pm for another chance to get native plants.
