American actress Jennifer Anne Garner was born on April 17, 1972. Garner studied drama at Denison University before beginning her acting career as an understudy for the Roundabout Theatre Company in New York City. She was born in Houston, Texas, and reared in Charleston, West Virginia. In 1995, she made her acting debut in the television version of Danielle Steel's romantic comedy Zoya. She has had prominent parts on the teen drama television series Time of Your Life (1999–2000) and a supporting role in the war drama Pearl Harbor, in addition to guest appearances on television and supporting roles in movies (2001).

Jennifer starred in Emmett Malloy and Brendan Malloy's 2017 coming-of-age drama The Tribes of Palos Verdes was adapted from a script by Karen Croner. It is based on Joy Nicholson's book of the same name. Starring in it are Alicia Silverstone, Joely Fisher, Maika Monroe, Cody Fern, Justin Kirk, Elisabeth Röhm, Goran Vinji, and Jennifer Garner. The story revolves around a family that relocates to Palos Verdes, a wealthy coastal neighborhood of Los Angeles.
