Transforming the LA Galaxy For Palos Verdes x Connect with Tom Braun

The LA Galaxy have been at the heart of Major League Soccer (MLS) for 30 years, and looking forward, we’re always thinking about how we can take the match day experience to the next level for our fans, especially here in the South Bay. At the core of everything we do is our community, and that’s why we’re focused on creating a match day experience that’s welcoming, exciting, and fun for everyone - whether it’s their first match or 100th.

That’s where our "Fight for the Fan" initiative comes in, which is all about ensuring every aspect of the experience, from pre-match activities to in-stadium entertainment, prioritizes the fans. It’s no secret that our fans had a huge part in helping us win 16 straight home games and achieve an unbeaten record at home. This is why we continue to do everything we can to create an experience that keeps them coming back.

One way we’ve elevated game day experiences is by launching our DJ program, Sounds of the Galaxy, that brings big music acts to Dignity Health Sports Park. During the 2024 season, we had performances from artists like Alesso, Dillon Francis, and Warren G, giving fans more reasons to look forward to the experience beyond just the match. We’ve also upgraded our stadium experience with new permanent fieldside seating and expanded and elevated concession offerings to further improve the fan experience.

Beyond the match day experience, we’re always finding ways to connect with the wider South Bay community. We want to be more than just a team you root for, whether that’s through our LA Day event, where we partnered with over 30 local businesses, or through our youth soccer programs at Galaxy Park and the Soccer Center in Torrance, we want to the club to be as involved with the wider community as possible.

For families, our matches are more than just a sporting event, they’re an affordable, fun activity for the whole family. Kids can enjoy SoccerFest before the game, where they get a chance to play on the field, make posters at the Cozmo Cadets booth, and get rallied up by the Star Squad with games, giveaways, and more. For young soccer players, we work with local soccer organizations to offer unforgettable game day experiences, like walking onto the field with the team or watching warm-ups from the player benches. It’s important to us that we inspire and engage with the community’s next generation of players and fans in a meaningful way.

It’s also important to us to make soccer accessible to all. That’s why the LA Galaxy Foundation, Herbalife, and U.S. Soccer Foundations committed to building mini-pitches throughout Los Angeles through 2026. Community studies have actually shown that mini-pitches lead to improved safety and more active and connected communities. We’re proud to play a role in that by offering safe, welcoming spaces for kids to play and communities to come together.

Whether you’re coming for the soccer, the entertainment, or simply tagging along with family or friends, we want to show everyone in the South Bay that you don’t have to be a die-hard soccer fan to enjoy an LA Galaxy match. We hope to see you at a match soon to experience it for yourself!
