Opening Day - Neptune’s Frozen Treats hits the ground Running! By Contributor and Artist Lynne La Fleur
Neptune’s Frozen Treats sure hit the ground running their very first day. This mother/daughter duo opened their doors and excitement filled the air right from the start. What was intended as a “soft opening” quickly became constant flow of customers lining up to sample the full complement of frozen yogurt flavors. There’s gelato, sorbet, and custard too, all part of the offerings.
“We’re really big on the third handle, it’s really important,” explains Katherine Kemps. “On one side is one flavor, on the other side is another flavor and the middle handle, that’s the twist! You can combine flavors like pumpkin pie and California tart in a sweet swirl. We have cookies and cream, peanut butter, chocolate custard, vanilla custard-mango sorbet twist and a variety of premium toppings like fresh fruit and fun cereals. We tasted a ton of flavors and narrowed it down to our top ten, and I wanted a really solid dairy free option, gluten free, vegan and no fat, all of the yummy things.”
Find your sweet place. Create your own blend of flavors, enjoy the ample outside seating, fine weather, chat with friends and neighbors, and maybe make some new ones. Katherine and Gemma are turning their family dairy legacy into the sweetest new spot in town!
