10 Events You Don’t Want To Miss In November
As the holidays approach, plenty of events are popping up around the Peninsula and beyond. Here are some of the events you want to mark your calendars for in November.
Los Rios Rancho - Oak Glen Apple Farm
This excursion with the City of Hermosa Beach invites participants to come along to Oak Glen, Southern California’s well-known apple picking destination, for a lunch at Wilshire’s Apple Shed. Enjoy slow-cooked tri-tip, BBQ chicken, cowboy beans, garlic roasted potatoes and a dinner roll with house-made apple butter under the picturesque oak trees, all while enjoying an old-time band and learning history shared by the Los Rios Farm proprietor. Sandy Sauté
Pants Off Racing is hosting its annual Sandy Sauté event to raise awareness and funds for those affected by pancreatic cancer. It will consist of a two-mile beach run on the north side of the Pier. There will also be a happy hour at a local restaurant afterwards. See more details and register here.

Veterans Day Tribute
The City of Redondo Beach is hosting a Veterans Day Tribute at Veterans Park in Redondo Beach. The ceremony will feature commentary, music and recognition of those who have served in the Armed Forces. Find more information here.

Distiller’s Dinner Featuring Clase Azul
This event at Terranea Resort will consist of a five-course tasting menu curated by Aaron Mitrano, chef de cuisine at Terranea. Expect to see pairings from Clase Azul presented by Julia Small. The Peninsula School of Performing Arts Presents “The Nutcracker”

44th Annual Harry Sutter Memorial Turkey Trot Fun Run
Make Thanksgiving Day memorable with this community event run by the City of Torrance. This three-mile fun run begins early on Thanksgiving morning. After the run, participants can participate in a raffle drawing and they can receive a Turkey Trot T-shirt. There will also be a canned food drive. Find more information and get a ticket here.
