Guided Nature Walk at Portuguese Bend Reserve with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Saturday, December 9th, 9am. Enjoy one of the best overlooks of the 1,500-acre PV Nature Preserve. Native Plant Sales by the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy – Saturday, December 9th at George F Canyon 10:30am – 1pm, Saturday, December 23rd at White Point Nature Education Center 10:30am – 1pm. Monthly Plant Sales are Back! Come to our nature centers during our sales to learn more about growing local native plants and purchase some for your garden!

George F Canyon Guided Family Nature Preserve Walk with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Saturday, December 2nd, 10:30am. You will be guided by a trained naturalist to discover a unique variety of wildlife in their canyon habitat with amazing views of the LA Basin. Meet outside on the back deck of the George F Canyon Nature Center. Parking in Preserve lot located at 27305 Palos Verdes Drive East, Rolling Hills Estates, CA 90274. Rain cancels. Outdoor Volunteer Day at Alta Vicente Reserve with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Saturday, December 9th, 9am – 12pm. Come help us to restore habitat on the 22-acre restoration site to create a home for rare cactus wrens and gnatcatchers with beautiful views of Catalina Island. Sign up at
Outdoor Volunteer Day at White Point Nature Preserve with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Sunday, December 10th, 9am – 12pm and Sunday, December 17th 9am – 12pm. Help care for the native plant demonstration garden at White Point Nature Preserve by planting native shrubs, removing invasive weeds, watering native plants, grooming trails and more! Sign up at

Guided Family Nature Walk at White Point Nature Preserve with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Saturday, December 16th, 10:30am. Naturalists will guide you along a trail to discover a unique variety of wildlife in their coastal sage scrub habitat with amazing views across to the ocean. Meet in front of the Nature Center and come inside to explore after the hike. Preserve parking available at the end of the street in a gravel lot at 1600 West Paseo del Mar, San Pedro. Volunteer with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy Rapid Response Team, Fridays, 9am - 12pm. Work alongside the field staff to help protect important wildlife habitat.
