Tour d'Art Returns to Palos Verdes Peninsula

When Mother Nature delivered 72-degree sunshine and gentle southern breezes for Tour d'Art 2025, six artists opened their studios and the Palos Verdes Art Center, showcasing works by over 30 local artists and welcoming hundreds of art enthusiasts across a perfect weekend.

The two-day event held October 4th & 5th transformed private studios throughout the Peninsula into galleries where visitors experienced intimate conversations with artists, watched creative demonstrations, and discovered where inspiration becomes reality. From Deborah E. Giese's evocative oil paintings to Jim Gardner's exquisite ceramics, Robin Jack Sarner's large-scale abstract expressionism, and Dr. Ginger Lai's East-meets-West paintings, each studio offered a unique window into the creative process, plus breathtaking views from the Peninsula's heights to the cities and ocean beyond.

"There's something special about watching people light up when they discover a piece that speaks to them," reflected artist Oana Gamlowski, a first-time Tour d'Art participant. The self-guided format allowed visitors to explore at their own pace, experiencing handmade jewelry, textiles, sculptures, paintings, ceramics, and glass art. The event featured works ranging from watercolor batik and raku ceramics to contemporary painting and glass sculptures that capture and transform light.

Tour d'Art 2025 showcased the vibrant artistic community thriving on the Palos Verdes Peninsula, where months of solitary creation culminated in two days of connection, inspiration, and the joy of art finding its home.
