QUESTION-ABLE!

By Shelley Stockwell-Nicholas, PhD

“If you won 10 million dollars, tax free, what would you do?”

“What changes would you make?”

“How would you spend your time if you only had 6 months to live?”

Seemingly innocuous questions cause you to think, rethink and communicate. Better yet, your answers bring “in-sight” because, in order to answer a question, you go in to find out. Your introspection is, in fact, a natural trance state and because you are entranced, your answers make a more vivid impression on your mind and results.

Hypnotists and self-hypnotists craft positive, pro-active questions to lead you to joy. Here are some secret questions (often called “appreciative Inquiry” or “suggestive questioning”) to use for yourself or to help others enjoy happiness and success:

EXPECTATION & AGREEMENT:

“Are you ready to use your deepest mind to have what you want?”

“What three goals are most important to you NOW?”

1. ____________________________

2. ____________________________

3. ____________________________

SELF-SATISFACTION:

“What do you do for fun?”

“What interests you most?”

“What do you own that’s very special to you?”

“What gives you the greatest satisfaction?”

“What do you really want?”

FACT-FINDING

“What will happen when you have what you want?”

“What will this result mean to you?”

SUCCESS

“What do you want to accomplish in the next 12 months?

a. Financially ________________

b. In Relationships ____________

c. In health and fitness _________

d. In Fun ____________________”

“What does success mean to you?”

“What’s the perfect plan for your success?”

“How will you know you succeeded?”

“Imagine it is so… What’s that like for you?”

“Looking back, how did you do it?”

“How do you talk about your success with others?”

BETTER GRADES:

“Are you ready to learn with ease and get an ‘A’ on your exam?”

“Focus on a time when you enjoyed learning something. What’s that like for you?”

“How do you learn/study best?”

“What’s the best way for you to grasp and retain information?”

“Imagine feeling happy, excited and engaged as you learn. What’s that like for you?”

Suppose that tonight, while asleep, you learn exactly what you need to do to succeed in school. The best qualities of your mind are magnified, extended, and multiplied exactly as you like them to be. This is so real that, in fact, when you awaken and study or take an exam, you know you are an excellent student and easily pass exams. What’s that like for YOU?”

CHANGE BAD HABITS

“You’re reading this because you have a sincere desire to live a happy, healthy life, correct?”

“Are you ready to embrace great ways to have what you want?”

“Doesn’t connecting with your innate wisdom make you smile?”

“Isn’t fun to do the right things for yourself?”

“You easily change– your clothes, mind, things you do– don’t you?”

“Isn’t it fun to positively change?”

“What you think is what you do, right?”

“You learn new ways to love yourself, don’t you?”

“What do you say to yourself when you do good things for YOU?”

“You love doing good, nourishing things for your body, mind and life, don’t you?”

“Is there something you need to say to yourself so you succeed?”

I’ve been practicing and training others to ask good questions for over 50 years. I’m in it so YOU to win it… but you already knew that, didn’t you?
