Love Your Lands: National Public Lands Day Event with Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy Saturday, September 27th
Celebrate our public lands by joining us at White Point Nature Preserve. Participate in activities like removing non-native plant species and watering active restoration sites, seed preparation, garden walks, children's activities and more!
Your efforts will help restore and maintain this habitat for wildlife as well as create a beautiful place for the community to enjoy!

Become a Nature Guide: Field Trip Docent Training with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Wednesday, September 3rd at 9am at White Point Nature Preserve in San Pedro – Join us for a fun and engaging training session to prepare for assisting with 3rd grade nature field trips. You'll help children connect with wildlife, plants, and the wonder of the outdoors. No experience necessary only enthusiasm for nature and helping children learn! Lead with Impact: Team Leader Training with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy

Flutter Fun! Nature Club for Kids: Butterflies with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Saturday, September 13th, 10:30am – 11:30. Join us at White Point Nature Education Center for a butterfly themed Nature Club! We'll learn about the butterflies that live on the Palos Verdes Peninsula, make fun crafts, and go on a butterfly hike through the garden. Ages 3-10.
Storytime Tails: Interesting Insects with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Sunday, September 14th, 10:30-11:30am
Join us at White Point Nature Education Center for fun stories about the cool critters that live on the nature preserve with crafts and hands-on activities. Recommended for kids ages 3-6 and their caregivers.

Guided by Nature: Nature Walk at Agua Amarga Reserve with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Saturday, September 13th, 9am. Walk the trails with knowledgeable guides, enjoy the view, and appreciate the results of many volunteeers’ trail and habitat restoration efforts in this quiet neighborhood canyon. Moderate. From Hawthorne Blvd, turn west onto Verde Ridge Rd., right on El Rodeo Rd. And left on Kings Harbor Dr. Park on street and meet at Posey Way. Sign up at: pvplc.org/calendar

Explore George F Canyon with a Guided Nature Walk with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Saturday, September 6th, 10:30am. Naturalists will guide you along a trail through the preserve to discover a unique variety of wildlife in their canyon habitat with amazing views of the LA Basin. Meet on the back patio of the Nature Center and come inside to explore after the hike. Parking in Preserve lot located at 27305 Palos Verdes Drive East, Rolling Hills Estates, CA 90274. Rain cancels. Bring Nature Home: Native Plant Sales by the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy – Saturday, September 13th at George F Canyon 10:30am – 12pm, located at 27305 Palos Verdes Dr E, Rolling Hills Estates, CA 90274. Create your own butterfly garden with a beautiful native plant from the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Our native plant expert will give you professional tips on creating a garden waystation and home for local species! Join us Saturday, September 27th at White Point Nature Education Center located at 1600 Paseo del Mar, San Pedro 10:30am – 12pm for another chance to get native plants.

Naturalists will guide you along a trail to discover a unique variety of wildlife in their coastal sage scrub habitat with amazing views across to the ocean. Bluffside Beautification: Volunteer Day at Alta Vicente Reserve with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Saturday, September 13th, 9am - 12pm. Canyon to Coast: Help Restore Agua Amarga's Scenic Beauty with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Sunday, September 14th, 9am – 12pm. Act Fast for Nature: Help Restore Trails & Safeguard Wildlife with the Rapid Response Team of the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy
Fridays and Saturdays from 9am to noon. Join the Rapid Response team to help maintain our trails and protect important wildlife habitat! You will assist staff with various easy to moderate trail maintenance activities such as closing unauthorized trails, trimming and clearing brush, minor tread repair, and other projects (Minor hiking involved). 15 years+. The Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy is looking for volunteers who enjoy sharing their love of nature and the Peninsula at community events around the South Bay. Join the Community Outreach volunteer team to help engage the local community for events and greet participants of our free monthly guided nature walks. No experience needed & flexible schedule. Nature Education in Action: Inspire Tomorrow’s Environmental Stewards with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy - The Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy is seeking volunteer education docents who would enjoy working with students, either in the classroom or for field trips and to greet visitors at one of two nature centers the Conservancy manages.
