Nailed It: Vietnamese & The Nail Industry

            Feature documentary chronicles the genesis and legacy of the 40 year Vietnamese nail salon business, its impact and the significant influence of film actress Tippi Hedren that helped forge the $8 billion-dollar American industry. For mixed-race Vietnamese filmmaker Adele Pham it is also a personal story as she confronts her cultural conflicts and discovers her place within the community, revealing the layers of this niche market and link between races that demonstrate social justice and positive relationships. Local connection to harbor with P.V. Nails featured and also Watts – part of L.A. City District 15.
