A Brush with Brilliance: 9-Year-Old Artist Liha Park to Exhibit at the 2026 LA Art Show

At just nine years old, Los Angeles–born artist Liha Park is already making waves in the contemporary art world. This January, she’ll be one of the youngest exhibitors ever to showcase her work at the 2026 LA Art Show—one of the largest and most prestigious international art fairs in the United States.

For most children her age, creativity might mean crayons and coloring books. For Liha, it means emotion, movement, and storytelling through paint. Her works—vivid, thoughtful, and full of quiet curiosity—invite viewers to pause and see the world through a child’s eyes: unfiltered, unguarded, and filled with wonder.

Liha’s artistic journey began early. In December 2022, at only six years old, she held her first solo exhibition, Art is Love, at Venus Gallery, drawing admiration for her ability to translate pure emotion into color and texture. By May 2023, she joined a group exhibition at the same gallery, expanding her exploration of feeling, form, and imagination.

Her paintings are inspired by how she imagines others might feel in a moment—fleeting thoughts, still emotions, and the quiet magic in ordinary life. She paints not just what she sees, but what she senses.

“Art is love,” Liha says simply. “It makes people feel something.”

It’s that childlike sincerity—and artistic maturity beyond her years—that makes Liha’s perspective so captivating. Her upcoming debut at the LA Art Show promises to offer a rare window into the emotional world of a young artist who is painting her way toward an extraordinary future.
