Sweet Little Things was dreamed up by best friends and Rancho Palos Verdes natives, Megan Jamshidian Magana & Nicolette Mattera Grieco. An unexpected turn for childhood best friends, the concept of the store came about from the duo’s mutual love for beautiful details and the lack of inspired boutiques and gift shops on the hill.

"We were tired of running to Target or making a quick purchase on Amazon when shopping for ourselves or a loved one. We decided to create the kind of place we wanted to shop and one that was welcoming for all occasions."

The shop is brimmed with beautiful finds including glassware, decorative pillows, books, fine candles, party decor, kids clothing, toys and accessories, stationary and seasonal decor, making Sweet Little Things a one-stop shop.

"We both come from large, close-knit families steeped in tradition. Our taste is not that of our current generation. We love pretty details and special little touches and feel that these kinds of details are important for our children to experience. The little things matter, making places and occasions memorable is so important to us."

The two often reminisce on the retail experiences they recall as children and the beautiful memories they have buying something special from a beautiful store. With many brick & mortar stores closing or ones that have closed post-covid, Magana & Grieco wish to bring back the magic of retail to the hill.

"There's nothing more satisfying than hearing the audible gasp from someone walking into the store and seeing so many things they love. We also feel so fortunate to be able to make our visual dreams come to light."
