The 91st Academy Awards

The 91st Academy Awards, presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), honors best films of 2018. The ceremony will be held on February 24, 2019 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California.

How do the locals celebrate? Of course, there is movie viewing of the nominated films leading up to tonite. And then the fantasy begins...

My boat is my limo and the ocean is my red carpet. The harbor view from my house perched in the rolling hills of Palos Verdes provides a glittering night time view....it emulates more stars than there are in Hollywood.

It's Academy Awards tonight and people are excited about it.

I will make my own toast with wine made from Palos Verdes grown grapes. My dinner with will be seasoned with locally harvested sea salt. The peacocks will be my paparazzi.
