The final weeks of March marked the beginning of the Western Monarch Butterflies’ annual southern migration. Beginning in October, Western Monarchs travel south from the northern climates of the United States and Canada before settling in various areas along the California coast and as far as Mexico. As the temperatures begin to warm, the Butterflies return to their northern native habitats.
